A registered point cloud records visible surfaces, not every building condition. Identify which requested areas and elements have a survey basis before the model is developed.
- List buildings, levels, spaces, and included element categories.
- Confirm survey dates, file revisions, coordinate reference, and registration notes.
- Flag inaccessible areas, occlusions, missing coverage, and inferred construction.
Define the receiving Revit environment
Model requirements should follow the next person's intended use. Agree the native version and the information needed for each element rather than relying on a general level label.
- Confirm the receiving Revit version, units, and coordinate reference.
- Name required categories, parameters, views, and exchange formats.
- Agree tolerances and who reviews exceptions or requests field verification.
