Separate authorship from design approval
The person producing a model, the person reviewing a finding, and the person accepting a design change may have different roles. Name them explicitly.
- Identify who authors and revises each discipline model.
- Confirm who interprets findings against discipline intent and project criteria.
- Record who can approve design changes and authorize package release.
Make exchanges and escalation explicit
A responsibility list is useful only when the team knows which revision to review and what to do with unresolved questions.
- Agree the working model set, revision exchange, and review dates.
- Define how questions are assigned, recorded, and escalated.
- Keep assumptions, unresolved conditions, and acceptance status with each handoff.
